This is the sort of X1 we like getting in. Only 63,638km, a full service history and a really good spec with the 2.0 litre turbo diesel and xDrive all wheel drive. If you’ve been looking for a smaller European SUV but don’t want something that feels underpowered or basic, this one makes a lot of sense.

The diesel suits the X1 really well. It has plenty of torque, the 8 speed auto is smooth and it feels properly planted on the road without being a big SUV to manoeuvre every day. You still get good cabin and boot space, a higher driving position and the solid, well sorted feel BMWs are known for.

The big attraction here is simply finding one with kilometres this low and good history behind it. It looks sharp, drives well and is a genuinely appealing little BMW SUV.
